Indian team faces the fury of Hurricane Beryl

Barbados: The Indian team is badly stuck in Barbados even after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. The team was to fly to New York on Monday and then to India, but due to bad weather, the schedule of Team India has been changed. According to the schedule, the World Cup winner was to leave for New York on Monday. From New York, the Indian players had to go to Dubai by connected flight, and finally return to India. But due to Cyclone Beryl, this is now considered almost impossible.

Airport closed due to storm

Actually Hurricane Beryl has become very dangerous. It has turned into category four. It can hit Barbados in the next few hours and it is also raining continuously there. However, it is not yet decided when Team India will fly. Due to the storm, operations at the airport there are currently stalled. The situation is such that the airport may have to be closed for a day.

Hurricane Beryl: Indian team packed in hotel

All the players of the Indian team are completely packed in a hotel. No one is allowed to go out. There is also limited staff in the hotel. Not only this, the players had to stand in queue and eat food on paper plates. There is a curfew-like situation in Barbados. Right now no one knows what is going to happen. At present there is no update on the arrival of Team India.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Beryl is expected to hit the Windward Islands on Monday morning at a speed of 130 km. Due to which 3 to 6 inches of rain can occur on Barbados and Windward Islands. The Meteorological Department said that Beryl is expected to remain a very dangerous storm, as its center is moving towards the Windward Islands and the Eastern Caribbean. The cyclone is continuously strengthening. Beryl’s speed may increase to 35 miles per hour in the next 24 hours. Due to which it is considered difficult for Team India to get out from here.
